Greg Drawdy

Mr. Charles Gregory Drawdy, Sr., age 66, of Walterboro, entered into rest Tuesday afternoon, June 16, 2020, at Pruitt Health Care in Walterboro.

Born September 22, 1953, in Colleton County, he was a son of the late Jack Dempsey Drawdy, Sr. and the late Grace Kinsey Drawdy.  He worked a successful career at Landmark Finance in Walterboro and for a number of years, worked at the Walterboro Belks.  He grew up in the family church, Sandy Dam United Methodist Church in Walterboro.  Greg possessed a special love and talent for music, having been gifted at playing the guitar.  He also excelled greatly in weight lifting and was very active in sports, having lettered in high school baseball and football.

Surviving are: two children, Charles Gregory Drawdy, Jr. (Esther) of Walterboro; a daughter, Lauren Drawdy Miller (Robert) of Walterboro; a brother, Jack Dempsey Drawdy, Jr. (Kathy) of Mashawville; two sisters, Elaine Drawdy Dickson (Martin) of Orlando, Florida and Brenda Drawdy Price (Michael) of Walterboro; a granddaughter, Anna Giselle Drawdy; and his children’s mother, Diane Woodward Lawrence.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, June 20, 2020, from the graveside at Sandy Dam United Methodist Churchyard, 3422 Charleston Highway, Walterboro.

The family will receive friends during a time of visitation Saturday afternoon prior to the funeral service from 12 noon until 1:30pm at THE BRICE W.
