Mr. James Gordon Lemacks, 65, of Ruffin, entered into eternal rest Sunday morning, December 25, 2022, at his residence.
Born July 29, 1957, in Jacksonville, Florida, he was a son of the late Clyde Lemacks and Eunice Cook Lemacks Thomas. He served his country in the South Carolina Army National Guard and was a retired steel grinder for Wheelabrator. Gordon enjoyed building and wood working, working on his classic cars, and especially riding his tractor with his dog, Maggie. He was always known for his giving heart, always helping anyone he could.
Surviving are: his wife of 31 years, Brenda Lee Lemacks; children, Jimmy Lemacks of Sweetwater, Tennessee, Jennifer Lemacks of Greenwood and Lindy Stevenson of Walterboro; sister, Cathy DeWitt of Walterboro; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Kenny Bridge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Milton Thomas; brother, David Lemacks; and sister, Barbara Stickland Soloman.
