Gloria Sires

Mrs. Gloria Jean Sires, 84, of Adams Run, entered into rest Wednesday evening, June 18, 2025, at Lowcountry Community Hospice House in Summerville. She was the wife of the late Thaddeus Sires. Sr.

Born December 12, 1940, in Ravenel, she was a daughter of the late Addison E. Newton and Blanche Owens Newton.  She was a retired sewing machine operator for Levi Shirt Corporation and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.  She especially loved planting and working with her vegetables and flowers. She also enjoyed camping.

Surviving are: her sisters, Annette Franklin, Janette Crosby, and Carolyn Freymuth, all of Ravenel; Raymond and Sandra Perry of Adams Run; as well as three nieces and two nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband; and her son, Thaddeus Sires, Jr.

Graveside services will be held privately at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Adams Run.
