Mrs. Gloria Inez Cromwell, 57, of 10239 Lowcountry Highway, Ruffin, entered into her eternal rest Sunday morning, October 4, 2009, at the Trident Medical Center in North Charleston from injuries sustained during an automobile accident in Colleton County.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 oclock Friday afternoon, October 9, 2009, from First Assembly of God, 2107 Hampton Street, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
Mrs. Cromwell was born January 17, 1952, in Colleton County and was a daughter of the late Brantley Lawrence Nettles and the late Lorene Enith Roberts Nettles. She was a member of the First Assembly of God, where she was very active in many aspects of the churchs work. At her church, she formerly worked and participated with the Womens Ministry, the Missionetts Ministry, Childrens Church and worked in the nursery. She was a member of the Special Gatherings of Walterboro and was a employed by Wendys in Walterboro and the former Burger Chick. Gloria possessed a love for all people and will be fondly remembered for her gentle nature and the beautiful smile she had.
Surviving are: her husband of nineteen years, Mr. Roy Frank Cromwell; two brothers, Gordon Nettles and his wife Florence and Emory Nettles and his wife Patricia both of Ruffin; a brother-in-law, Merick Cromwell of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dianne Enith Nettles.
