Gladys Walker
July 27, 1940 — April 6, 2015
Mrs. Gladys Craven Walker, 74, entered into rest Monday, April 6, 2015, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 4 pm, Friday, April 10, 2015 at Welch Creek Baptist Church, 536 Welch Creek Road, Walterboro. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock Thursday evening at Welch Creek Baptist Church.
Born July 27, 1940 in Walterboro, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd Esdorn Craven and Annie Lou Carson Craven. She was a faithful and active member of Welch Creek Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who dearly loved her family.
Surviving are: her husband of 54 years, William George Walker of Walterboro; children, Jeffrey Walker, Sr. and Paula of Walterboro, Darlene Walker of Walterboro, Renae Whaley and Marion of Edisto Beach, Columbo Walker of Walterboro, Elizabeth Butler and Michael of Walterboro; brothers, Joe Ben Craven and JoAnn of Walterboro, Raymond Craven and Irene of Walterboro, and Rusty Craven and Paula of Cottageville; sisters, Beatrice Easterlin of Walterboro, and Gloria Langdale and Larry of Walterboro; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 step grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lloyd Craven.
