Geraldine Martin

Geraldine Joyce Martin, 88, of Walterboro, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Sunday evening, December 11, 2022, at her residence.

Geraldine was born December 4, 1934, in Ross County, Ohio.  She was a daughter to the late George C. Baxter and the late Fredea Celesta Burris Baxter. She was the devoted wife of the late Orin Martin.

Mrs. Geraldine was a faithful and devoted member of the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Summerville.

She is survived by her children, Gloria Brown (John) and Aeline Martin; grandchildren, Christine Brown and Bobby Brown (Rebecca); great-grandchildren, Destiny Feagin and Olivia Feagin; a brother, George Baxter, Jr.; nieces, Kathy Joseph, Debbie Walker, Sharon Chaney; and a nephew, Mike Lowry.  She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to husband Orin, she is preceded in death by:  grandchildren, Orin “Teo” Feagin and Clifton Feagin; sister, Barbara McWorter; brother, Davis Baxter; and two infant brothers.

A graveside service will be held 1 o’clock, Friday afternoon, December 16, 2022, at Plantation Memorial Gardens, 3345 Live Oak Drive, Moncks Coroner, South Carolina.
