Georgia Mae Reeves

August 2, 1937 — July 29, 2013


Mrs. Georgia Mae Reeves, 75, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Monday, July 29, 2013 at Uni-Health Post-Acute Care of the Lowcountry in Walterboro. She was the widow of Thomas Legare Reeves, Sr.

Graveside funeral services will be held 5 pm, Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Cottageville Cemetery.

Mrs. Reeves was born August 2, 1937 in Sumter and was a daughter of the late Sam Frierson and Lottie Mae Fleming Frierson. She attended the Walterboro Church of God and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved to shag and had been a member of a shag club in Charleston; but most especially, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are: her children, Tommy Reeves, Jr. of Georgia, Mark Reeves and his wife Brandy of Alabama, and Matt Reeves and his wife Tammy of Walterboro; sisters, Evelyn Dove and Joyce Wright, both of Goose Creek; 12 grandchildren, Thomas Legare Reeves, III, Justin Tyler Reeves, Jenna Kayley Reeves, Trey Carter, Jessica Nix, Timothy Williams, Lauren Reeves, Brylie Reeves, Houston Reeves, Reece Dantzler, Amber Reeves and Christopher “Boo Boo” Reeves; and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Sam Frierson; and a sister, Lillian Harlan.

The family would like to thank the staff of Uni-Health for the amazing care they have given to Mrs. Georgia during her illness.
