George Salsberry

George W. Salsberry, 71, of Walterboro, South Carolina, died Saturday, April 16, 2022.  He was born in East Liverpool, Ohio, to George and Hope Salsberry.  For decades, he was a reporter for The Alliance Review in Ohio, then The Press and Standard in Walterboro, covering local government and writing features on many events and individuals.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda; a daughter, Emily and her husband, T.J. Schramm, and their son, Tommy of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; a sister, Debbie and her husband, Bill of St. Petersburg, Florida; and nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mike.

A celebration of his life will be held privately.
