Mr. George William Robertson, 69, of Walterboro, entered into rest Friday afternoon, September 12, 2014, at his residence.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, September 16, 2014, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend Tom Polk officiating. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.

Born June 6, 1945, a native of Colleton County, he was a son of the late George Lewis Robertson and the late Gladys Maxey Robertson. He served our country faithfully in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era and was a retired truck driver. George attended Jones Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church in Walterboro and will be fondly remembered as a family man, who devoted his life to his greatest joys, his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Myra Dyal Robertson; three sons, Roy Cook of Orangeburg, Randy Cook of North Carolina, and George Henry Robertson of Oregon; four daughters, Regina Bailey of Waltebroro, Patty Sanders of Joanna, Robin Robertson of Arkansaw, and Virginia Ann South of Oregon; two brothers, John Robertson and Gene Robertson; and a sister, Minnie Jimenez. There are seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren that also survive.
