Mr. George Vincent Peeples, Jr., 54, of Pocotaligo Road, Hampton, entered into his state of eternal rest Sunday evening, March 13, 2011, at the Hampton Regional Medical Center in Varnville.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 oclock Wednesday afternoon, March 16, 2011, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Varnville. Interment will follow in Hampton Cemetery, Holly Street, Hampton.
Mr. Peeples was born November 24, 1956, in Hampton County and was a son of the late George Vincent Peeples, Sr. and the late Margie Louise Dobson Peeples. For many years, he was a paramedic with Hampton County Emergency Medical Services as well as Colleton County Fire and Rescue. He was of the Baptist Faith and will be fondly remembered for his love of hunting large game American White Tail Deer and fresh water fishing. He was an avid gun collector and operated his own lawn care service.
Surviving are: his wife of thirty-seven years, Mrs. Joan Belinda Hadwin Peeples; two sons, Vincent Barney Peeples and John Tyler Peeples both of Hampton; a daughter, Cynthia Lynn Peeples Moore of Varnville; and his mother-in-law, Mrs. Veda Nell Crosby Hadwin of Varnville. There are two grandchildren, Brittany Marie Moore and Travis Graham Moore; a special cousin, Edith Dean Smith of Hampton; and two aunts, Carolyn Dobson Clapp of Hampton and Rose Ann Dobson Smith of Ehrhardt.
