George Ronald Kinard

George Ronald Kinard, known to same as Gator, 87, of Smoaks SC, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2023 at his home.

Born July 31, 1936, in Lodge, SC to the late Henry Kinard and Annie Lyons.

George was a man of good faith. He was a father figure to many throughout his life. He raised kids, grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. He worked very hard for many years as a highway engineer to provide for his wife and children. After retirement, he spent many of his days fishing, hunting and joking around with his big family.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Peggy Kinard; his daughters, Sandra Smith and Lisa Kinard; his granddaughters, Shelbie Ashe, Ashley Pauls, Mackenna Ashe, Angel Pauls and his brother Darwin Kinard.

He was preceded in Death by his son, Hubert Norman Kinard and his siblings, Myrtle and Harry Kinard.

There will be a celebration of Georges’ life on Saturday, December 23, 2023 starting 12pm at his  and Peggys’ home in Smoaks.
