George D. Hill

Mr. George Dennis Hill, 76, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest, Sunday evening, August 14, 2022, at Trident Medical Center.

Born October 14, 1945 in Beckley, West Virginia, George was a son of the late Ruben Dearl Hill and the late Mary Magdalene Perkins Hill.

He was a member of Edisto Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was the devoted husband of fifty-one years to Mrs. Linda Gail Hill, they married October 14, 1970.  George was a logger by trade, he was a Christian man who loved his family, his church family and Church; he also loved witnessing to others.  His family, specially his nieces and nephews loved to be around him because they always had so much fun and he kept them laughing.  He would always make people laugh and was known to have a great sense of humor.

In addition to his wife, Linda Hill, he is survived by: his sister, Jane Clutchfield (Billy); his brothers, Larry E. Hill (Debbie), Billy Joe Hill (Phyllis), Robert “Bob” Lee Hill (Dena); sister-in-laws Vicky Hill, Michelle Bradshaw, Deborah Hill and Sharon Leigh Hawkins; a special aunt, Ann Welch and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his brothers, Donald Mac Hill and “Wayne” Ruben D. Hill, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Edisto Pentecostal Holiness Church.
