HAMPTON " Mr. George Eugene Davis, 59, of Augusta Highway, Hampton, died Sunday, August 16, 2009 at Roper Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 7 pm, Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at True Faith Ministries in Ulmer.
Mr. Davis was born May 20, 1950 in Hampton County and was a son of the late George Washington Davis and Polly Cornelia Prince Davis. He served his country in the United States Army. He will always be remembered for the love he had for his family and for being a talented grease monkey.
Surviving are: his children, Joseph Hancock of Hampton, Marie Cornelia Davis of Savannah, Georgia, Jennifer Lynn Hancock of Greensboro, North Carolina, Justin Stephen Hancock of Hampton, James Edward Hancock of Hampton, Cynnamon Grace Davis of Hampton and Jerry Standridge of Yemassee; 6 grandchildren; and close friends, George Rivers of Hampton and Junior Griner of Grays.
