Mr. George Danny Cooler, affectionately known as “Kool-Aid”, 75, of Bamberg, entered into eternal rest Monday afternoon, July 28, 2025, at his residence.
Born July 22, 1950, in Bamberg, he was a son of the late Walter Douglas Cooler and Naomi Ruth Hodge Cooler. He was a retired roofing contractor. Danny attended Word of Life Pentecostal Holiness Church in Bamberg. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. He loved hunting and fishing and spending time at the Tony Hill Hunting Club. He also enjoyed going to Beaufort to go fishing and shrimping with his wife and brother, Buck.
Surviving are: his wife of 16 years, Dianne Bearden Cooler of Bamberg; step-sons, Jason Bishop and his wife Heather of Ehrhardt, and Josh Bishop of Bamberg; granddaughter, Allie Cooler; great grandson, Bryar Cox; step grandchildren, Jasmine Bishop, Joslyn Bishop, and Jasper Bishop; brother, Harmon “Buck” Cooler; sisters, Carrie Bell Carroll and Eula Mae “Janie” Garrick; his special nephews, Ricky Carrigg, David Cooler, and James Young; and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tara Cooler; and his siblings, Alvin Nelson Cooler, Bradley Cooler, Nettie Ruth Carrigg, Essie Lee Williams, Odessa Ann Vaughn, Betty Jean Croft, Warren Cooler, Bueigh Cooler, and Allean Lemonnella.
A Memorial Service will be held 7 o’clock, Friday evening, August 1, 2025, at Word of Life Pentecostal Holiness Church, 85 North Street, Bamberg, South Carolina. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 6 o’clock until the hour of service in the church sanctuary.
