George Robert Connelly

Mr. George Robert Connelly, Sr., 70, of Islandton, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Colleton Medical Center.  He was the husband of the late Janice Drawdy Connelly.

Born April 18, 1949 in Colleton County, he was a son of the late George Washington Connelly and Lucille Altman Connelly.  He was a driver for many years for Williams Farms.  He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and never feared hardwork.

Surviving are: his children, George Robert Connelly, Jr. and Mary Connelly, both of Islandton; grandchildren, Kayla Rourk and Brittany Clawson and her husband Dustin; great grandchildren, Kaiden Clawson and Olivia Robertson; and sisters, Ann Chamberlin of Lodge and Diane Godley and her husband Bo of Islandton.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock, Saturday morning, February 29, 2020 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  Interment will follow in Cross Swamp Cemetery, Lively Stone Road, Islandton.
