Mr. James Edward Prince, affectionately known to everyone as “Gator”, 46, of Estill, entered into eternal rest, Wednesday morning, May 1, 2024, at his residence.
Born September 4, 1977, in Hampton County, he was the son of Judy Elaine Prince. He was a member of Nixville Baptist Church. He was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan and avid pool player and had played in many tournaments including tournaments in Las Vegas. He dearly loved his church, his family, and especially loved his niece and nephew and his beloved cat “Tiger”.
Surviving are: his mother, Judy Prince of Estill; brothers, Timmy Prince of Estill and Brandon Prince and his wife Peyton of Brunson; nephew and niece, Spencer and Raelynn; a special uncle and aunt, Jimmy and Doris Bowers; an uncle and aunt, Roger and Shirley Merritt, whom he loved as they were his parents; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his best friend who he loved as a brother, Ernest Merritt.
A memorial service will be held 3 o’clock, Saturday afternoon, May 4, 2024, at Nixville Baptist Church, 3915 Two Sisters Ferry Road, Estill. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 pm in the church sanctuary.
