Biography
Mr. Gary Lee Peters, Sr., 53, of Walterboro, died Friday afternoon, October 5, 2012, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon, October 11, 2012, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.
The family will receive friends following the funeral ceremony that afternoon in the Parlor of the Mortuary.
A native of Colleton County, he was born December 3, 1959 and was a son of Lamar "Buddy" Peters and Merle Hiott Selvy. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving in addition to his father of Ehrhardt and his mother of Walterboro are: two sons, Daniel Lee Peters of Walterboro and Gary Lee Peters, Jr. of Tampa Florida; and six brothers, Lamar Peters, IV of Moncks Corner, Billy Peters of Honduras, Larry Peters and his wife Theresa of Moncks Corner, Kevin Peters of Alaska, Terry Peters of Blackville, and Andrew Selvy of Walterboro. There are four grandchildren, Jaxon Peters, Emily Peters, Brianna Peters, and Kaylyn Ella Rose Peters that also survives; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
