Gary Mund

Mr. Gary Timothy Mund, 70, of Sparks, Nevada, entered into eternal rest Sunday morning, May 19, 2024, at Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro, South Carolina.

Born May 18, 1954, in West Covina, California, he was a son of the late Ronald Douglas Mund, Sr. and Lucille Ray Mund.  He was a retired water operator for the Eastern Municipal Water District in Perris, California.  Gary enjoyed racing motorcycles when he was younger, enjoyed playing basketball, and loved swimming.  He also enjoyed sailing, riding his bicycle, and loved working on old cars and going to car shows.  After retirement, he and his wife, Tammie, especially loved traveling together in their RV.  Their goal was to visit all 50 states and they only had two left to visit.  Most of all, he was a devout Christian, loved his family, and loved spending time with his grandchildren during their family outings.

Surviving are: his wife of 49 years, Tammie King Mund of Sparks, Nevada; daughters, Wendie Mund Hays (Jason) of Sparks, Nevada and Mendie Mund Disbrow (Thomas Booth) of Branchville, South Carolina; grandchildren, Kaleb Disbrow, Seth Disbrow, Aiden Disbrow, Malcolm Hays, Mellisa Hays, Gaius Hays, Ebenezer Hays, Sarah Hays, Benjamin Hays, Abigail Hays, and Nathaniel Hays; brothers, Ronald Mund, Sr. of Perris, California, Mark Mund of Hemet, California, and Randall Mund of Perris, California; and many cousins.
