Mrs. Frances Lois Woods, 82, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Roper Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Monday, December 28, 2015 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Interment will follow in Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 4931 Black Creek Road, Walterboro.
Mrs. Woods was born May 22, 1933 in Dorchester County and was a daughter of the late Roy Dewey Bell and Edith Murray Bell. She was a faithful member of Black Creek Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School and Training Union teacher for many years and was also active with the WMU. Mrs. Woods centered her life around her family and her church. She was a beloved mother and grandmother who was a wonderful cook and homemaker, but also enjoyed caring for others.
Surviving are: her husband, William Harold Woods of Yemassee; children, Anthony Woods and his wife JoBeth of Yemassee and Janet McCollum and her husband Dennis McCollum, Sr. of Walterboro; brothers, Larry Bell and his wife Jane and Charlie Bell and his wife Martha Ann, all of Yemassee; sisters, Carolyn Edwards of Orlando, FL and Nancy Jo James and her husband Kay of Conway; special sister-in-law, Evelyn Walker of North Charleston; grandchildren, Dennis McCollum, Jr. and his wife Amanda, Lauren McCollum, Chelsea Woods and Ashlee Woods; great grandchildren, Addison McCollum and Braeleigh McCollum; and many nieces and nephews.
