Mrs. Frances Louise Parker Savage, 83, of Cox Street, Walterboro, entered into her eternal rest Sunday morning, October 7, 2012, at Sea Breeze Health Care Center in Panama City, Florida. She was the widow of Mr. Archie Julius Savage, Sr.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, October 13, 2012, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.

A native of Liberty, South Carolina, she was born October 6, 1929, and was the last surviving daughter of the late Dillard and Ivy Cope Parker. She was a retired employee of J.P. Stevens, Inc. in Walterboro and was a member of the Holiness Tabernacle. She was a member of Tops where she was recognized by the organization as Queen in 1988. Frances was a true Christian woman who devoted her life to her family and others having spent her life well lived. She enjoyed vistiing with those in nursing facilities to spend time with them and read them the Holy Bible. She possessed a love and talent at crocheting and southern canning.

Surviving are: a daughter, Sharon Elaine Hoefling and her husband Bob of Panama City, Florida; a son, Randall Parker of Walterboro; three step-daughters, Vicki Cope and her husband Sam of Summerville, Jeanette McArn and her husband Harry of Summerville, and Judy Ann Dozier of Orangeburg; and a step-son, Archie J. Savage, Jr. and his wife Linda of Ridgeville. There are thirteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren who also survive. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Dillard; a granddaughter, Chari Ballard; two brothers, Dan Edgar Parker and Carlos Parker; and four sisters, Amma Rowland, Effie Melton, Ruby Murphy, and Eva Belue.
