ROUND O " Mrs. Frances Burnham Jones, 77, of 197 Raynor Lane, Round O, died Friday evening, September 5, 2008, at her residence under the care of Hospice Care of South Carolina.



Funeral services will be conducted 6 oclock Tuesday evening, September 9, 2008, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.



Mrs. Jones was born August 8, 1930, in Norfolk County, Virginia and was a daughter of the late Samuel Burnham and the late Carrie Garris Burnham. She was of the Christian Faith and was a person that was loved by all that knew her.



Surviving are: her husband of fifty-seven years, Mr. Bruce Jones; four sons, Bruce Jones, Jr. of Portsmouth, Virginia, Howard Samuel Jones of Stoney Creek, Virginia, David Jones of Walterboro, and Marvin Alfred Jones and his wife Susan of Round O; a daughter, Frances Lucille Howel and her husband Jack of West Palm Beach, Florida; and two sisters, Eleanor Kirk of Portsmouth, Virginia and Lucille Kirk of Portsmouth, Virginia. There are eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; as well as one she loved as a daughter, Ida Mays of Walterboro and two she loved as sons, William and Charles Crosby both of Walterboro; and a daughter-in-law, Pamela K. Jones of Care Charles, Virginia. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carrie Virginia Jones; a son, Ray Anthony Jones; and one grandson.



In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made in her memory to: Hospice Care of South Carolina, 134 Bells Highway, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
