Felix Lee Mason

Mr. Felix Lee Mason, 89, of Walterboro, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at his residence.

Born February 12, 1931 in Mobile, Alabama, he was a son of the late Arthur Fletcher Mason and Alice Bailey Mason.  He served his country faithfully in the United States Army and was a retired truck driver for McLean Trucking Company.  He was a member of Double Portion Ministries.  Mr. Felix loved fishing, gardening, and woodworking, and especially enjoyed baking with his wife.  Most of all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who was truly the best and will be missed greatly.

Surviving are: his wife, Edith Ackerman Mason of Walterboro; children, Elaine Williams of Grays, Donna Smith of Grays, Sandy Walker of Augusta, Georgia, Lenora Norrell of Charleston, Bradford Craven of Walterboro, and Chuck Craven of Walterboro; 8 grandchildren, Vern Stevenson, Courtney Stevenson, Penny Sharp, Constance Bonavota, Bryan Smith, Michelle Stanley, Angela Shimer, and Ashley Ryberg; and 25 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Stevenson; a granddaughter, Cathy Polk; and a sister, Margie Mason.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 o’clock, Friday afternoon, February 28, 2020 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Hendersonville Highway, Walterboro.
