Everett Hughes

RUFFIN " Mr. Everett Isaac Hughes, 74, of290 Roger Lane, Ruffin, entered into his eternal rest Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Mount Pleasant Manor.

Funeral services will be held 2 oclock Sunday afternoon, September 27, 2009, at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral home, Walterboro Chapel. Entombment will follow in Glendale Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.

Mr. Hughes was born December 30, 1935 in Grays and was a son of the late Lewis Hughes and Annie Williams Hughes. He served his country faithfully and retired from the Unites States Army. Mr. Hughes love to read his Bible and loved fishing, but will be remembered most for being a loving father and grandfather.

Surviving are his children, Vincent Everett Hughes of Ridgeville, Priscilla Hughes and her husband Billy of Ruffin and Juanita Hughes Hunt and her husband Jimmy of Ruffin; brother, Jackie Hughes of Cummings; sisters, Nadine Thomas of Hendersonville and Patsy Sanders of Varnville; and grandchildren, Brent Rogers, Cameron Rogers, Bonnie Hunt, Caitlin Hunt and Cody Hunt. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Hughes, Jr. and a sister, Lesive Jones.
