Eunice Tilson

CLEMSON " Eunice Seigler Tilson, 97, died peacefully on December 31, 2009 at the Downs Health Care Center in Clemson, SC. Born in Round O, South Carolina , to the late Wesley and Annie Padgett Seigler, she was a loving mother and grandmother whom the grandchildren affectionately knew as Mama. She moved to Charleston , South Carolina , in 1930 where she met and married her husband of 67 years, the late Arthur Thomas Tilson. In 1969 she and Arthur moved back to Round O, and she lived there until coming to Clemson in 2002. A long-time member of Bedon Baptist Church in Walterboro, she moved her membership to East Clemson Baptist Church in 2002.



Mrs. Tilson is survived by a son, Arthur Thomas Tilson, Jr. and his wife, Alice; a daughter, Nancy Tilson Pate, and her husband, Henry; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great- granddaughter; a sister, Pat Hiers; and a brother, James Seigler.



A committal service will be held at Bedon Baptist Church Cemetery at 1:30 PM that day. A memorial service will be held in Clemson on January 16. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Bedon Baptist Church Cemetery-Care Fund (Bedon Baptist Church Cemetery-Care Fund, 2370 Cottageville Highway , Walterboro , SC , 29488 ) or to the East Clemson Baptist Church Building Fund (East Clemson Baptist Church Building Fund, 230 Frontage Road , Clemson , South Carolina 29631.
