Eulalie Ackerman

Mrs. Eulalie Jones Ackerman, 82, of Mount Nebo Road in the Ashton community of Colleton County, passed away Friday morning, February 6, 2009, at her residence surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Palmetto Hospice of Bamberg. She was the wife of the late Mr. Walter Ackerman.



Funeral services will be conducted 2 oclock Sunday afternoon, February 8, 2009, from the graveside at Ashton Cemetery with The Reverend Gordon Ackerman officiating.



Mrs. Ackerman was born January 17, 1927, in Colleton County and was a daughter of the late Willard and Lelia Cummings Jones. She was a longtime member of Lodge United Methodist Church. She will always be remembered for the love she had for her family and friends. She also possessed a great love of the outdoors, planting flowers, and her dogs.



Surviving are: her son, Wayne Ackerman and his wife Wanda of Ashton; and three brothers, Woodrow Jones of Lodge, Francis Jones and his wife Doris of Lodge, and Dr. Marshall Jones and his wife Marian of Lodge. There are two grandchildren, Brian Ackerman and his wife Holly of Ashton and Joy Hiott and her husband Timmy of Ashton; five great grandchildren, Chandler, Hayden, and Emily Hiott and Bryson and Landen Ackerman; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Voyle Jones and Donald Jones.
