Eugene Vanosdall

October 7, 1922 — May 6, 2013

Mr. Eugene Clarence Vanosdall, affectionately known by all as "Mr. Gene", age 90, of Van Dyke Road, Cottageville, entered into rest Monday morning, May 6, 2013, at his residence under the care of Intrepid Hospice. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Mildred Florence Vanosdall.

Born October 7, 1922, a native of Greeley County, Nebraska, he was one of thirteen children born to the late George H. Vanosdall and the late Clara Anderson Vanosdall. He was a talented and well known mechanic and will be fondly remembered for his love of gardening and his tractors.

Surviving are: two daughters, Linda Kay Howell of Cottageville and Marla Jo Weise of Pompano Beach, Florida; and four sisters, Phyllis Vanosdall of Omaha, Nebraska, Lorraine Ogg of Grand Island, Nebraska, Eleanor Moore of Greeley, Nebraska, and Vivian York of Buna Vista, Colorado. There are eight grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren that also survive. He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Vanosdall.

In lieu of flowers, the family has respectfully requested that memorial contributions be directed in his memory to: Intrepid USA Hospice, 2694 Lake Park Drive, Charleston, South Carolina 29406.
