Mr. Eric Roger DeLoach, 57, of Summerville, entered into eternal rest Tuesday morning, March 5, 2024, at Summerville Medical Center.
Born June 1, 1966, in Columbia, he was a son of Betty Murray DeLoach and the late Hurley Rogers DeLoach. He worked for many years with his father at Masterbend Muffler Shop in Walterboro. He then went to work as a welder at many shipyards up and down the East Coast. He enjoyed fishing and spending time at the beach. Most of all, he loved his family. He was a devoted son, father. And grandfather and made the best life possible for his children.
Surviving are: his mother, Betty DeLoach of Summerville; children, Corey Joel DeLoach and Kersty Kathleen DeLoach, both of Summerville; granddaughters, Mackenzie, Mariah, and Marissa; brothers, Brad DeLoach of Charlotte, North Carolina and Troy DeLoach of Greenville; as well as his nieces and nephews, Justin, Harley, Donovan, and Cameron; and great niece, Delilah.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to: American Cancer Society, Post Office Box 6704, Hagerstown, Maryland 21741; and The Alzheimer’s Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601.
A memorial service will be held 3 o’clock, Saturday afternoon, March 9, 2024, at Edgewood Baptist Church, Wildwood Drive, Walterboro. The family will receive friends following the service.
