Mr. Jon Eric Bailey, 52, of Maple Ridge Road, Walterboro, entered into rest Friday afternoon, July 25, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Odyssey Hospice.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o'clock Monday morning, July 28, 2014, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend Dr. Zane Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Augusta Highway, Canadys.
Born August 30, 1961, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, he was a son of the late David E. Bailey Jr. and the late Maybelle Ann Pack Bailey. He attended Nova Church and will be fondly remembered for his love of the outdoors, always enjoying camping, golf, and fishing. He was an avid Clemson Tigers and Carolina Panthers Football fan.
Surviving are: his dedicated wife of thirty-four years, Mrs. Belinda Carter Bailey; his two children, Chastity Bailey Ginn and her husband Nicholas of Varnville and Joey E. Bailey of Chesnee; two brothers, David E. Bailey, III and Sammie E. Bailey both of Tennessee; and a sister, Sue Lynn Cothran of Walterboro. There are two grandchildren, Austin and Wesley Ginn; his parent-in-law, Frederick and Mary Carter; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as one whom he loved as sister, Billie Jean Hoff; and his beloved pet Gracie - his Guardian Angel on this Earth.
