Emma Hair

Mrs. Emma Sue Hair, 71, of Mount Carmel Road, Estill, entered into her eternal rest Sunday afternoon, October 28, 2012, at the Hampton Regional Medical Center in Varnville. She was the wife of the late Mr. Raymond Hair.

Funeral services will be conducted 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, October 31, 2012, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Varnville. Interment will follow in Lebanon Methodist Churchyard, Scotia.

A native of Cross City, Florida, she was born January 23, 1941 and was a daughter of the late Drew and Rose Lee Brown Petterson. She had made Estill her home for the past twenty years. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith, and will be remembered for her love of reading and bull dogs.

Surviving are: two daughters, Cynthia Gail Knight of Estill and Lena Renee DeLoach and her husband Joseph of Varnville; and two sons, Gary Lamar Knight of Tennessee and Clarence Knight, Jr. of Varnville. There are six grandchildren, C.J. Sauls, Lily DeLoach, Amanda Joann Selph, Jessica Marie Laster, Caroline Paige Knight, and Drew Knight, as well as seven great grandchildren who also survive. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew David Henderson.
