Mrs. Elouise Jenkins DeWitt, 76, of Cane Branch Road, Walterboro, entered into eternal rest, Thursday, September 29, 2011 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Monday, October 3, 2011 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Interment will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. DeWitt was born March 16, 1935 in Callahan, Florida and was a daughter of the late Chester Jenkins and Corine Henderson Jenkins. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and was a former employee of the Walterboro Veneer Plant.
Surviving are: her husband Hubert DeWitt; her children, Mack Kittrell of Perry, FL, Rodney Kittrell and his wife Kay of Walterboro, Cheryl Iriel and her husband Roy of Ruffin and Diane Iriel of Ruffin; daughter-in-law, Melanie Kittrell of Ruffin; brothers, Hubert Jenkins of Haines City, FL, Henry Jenkins of Lake City, FL and Donald Jenkins of Lake City, FL; sister, Pauline Strickland of Haines City, FL; 22 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Andrew Jackson Kittrell; a son, Larry Kittrell; son-in-law, Donald Iriel; brothers, Johnny Jenkins and Buford Jenkins; and a sister, Ruth Anderson.
