Elleanor B. Mason

Elleanor B. Mason, 87, of Varnville, SC, passed away December 28, 2017.

She was the daughter of the late Ellery Irvin Anderson Bowey and Bertha Marie Dantzler.

Elleanor was a very hardworking woman. She was a fine seamstress, and sewed many things for many different people. She also won ribbons in Charleston, SC for her sewing. She followed the Craft Fair Circuit, selling items she handmade. She always helped her community, loved crossword puzzles, and planned to open her own craft store. That dream became reality when she became the owner of  The Rustic Magnolia, which she ran for over ten years. She was the pianist for Maple Cane Baptist Church for many years. She loved God, and was a devout Christian. She enjoyed reading her Bible daily.

She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Mary Catherine; sister, Ladelle Burbage; brothers, Wardie Bowey, Joseph Fabian, Gary Fabian, Edward Fabian, Johnny Fabian, Earl Sikes.

She is survived by her daughters Faye Elaine Williams (Carlo), Donna Ruth Mason Smith (Terry), and Sandy Marie Walker (Mike); sister, Faith Harris (Jackie); 4 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017, at 11 am at Grimes Cemetery.
