Biography
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Prescott, affectionately known by all as "Mrs. Lib", age 75, of Walterboro, entered into rest Wednesday morning, March 26, 2014, at her residence under the care of Agape Hospice.
A celebration of her life will be conducted 4 o'clock Friday afternoon, March 28, 2014, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The family will receive friends following the funeral ceremony.
Born December 17, 1938, a native and lifelong residence of Colleton County, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Clifton Benjamin Bennett and the late Rosalee Benton Stanfield Bennett. She was a retired employee of the South Carolina Department of Transportation and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are: four children, Mary Elaine "Lynn" Ackerman and her husband Kenny of Grover, Karen Driggers of Walterboro, Lisa Padgett and her husband Gerald of Walterboro, and Glen Prescott of Walterboro. There are ten grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren that also survive. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda Gail Johnson and her brother, Clifton Benjamin Bennett, Jr.
