Biography
Ms. Elizabeth Darcus Garnett Pettigrew, 93 , of Middleton Lane near Yemassee, entered into eternal rest Sunday, February 19, 2012 at her residence. She was the widow of Samuel Leard Pettigrew.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm, Friday, February 24, 2012, at the graveside in Greenville Memorial Gardens, 7784 Augusta Road, Greenville.
Mrs. Pettigrew was born November 30, 1918 and was the daughter of the late Hazel Garnett and Annie Musselman Garnett. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and who always enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Ritter.
Surviving are: her daughter, Barbara P. Chittenden and her husband Leon of New Johnsonville, Tennessee.; grandchildren; Damon Chittenden and his wife Jane, Dalyn Patterson and her husband Bert; and great grandchildren Rachael and Sarah Patterson and Cody Chittenden all of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Libby Ann Pettigrew.
