Mrs. Elizabeth Bishop Crosby, 72, of Forks Road in Islandton, entered into her eternal rest Sunday evening, December 12, 2010, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro. She was the wife of the late Mr. Norris E. Crosby who died in 1991.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 oclock Wednesday afternoon, December 15, 2010, from Adnah United Methodist Church, Adnah Church Road, Islandton with The Reverend David Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard.
Mrs. Crosby was born November 29, 1938, in Colleton County and was a daughter of the late Paschal Listen Bishop and the late Bessie Lee Polk Bishop. She was a retired weaver from J. P. Stevens, Inc., in Walterboro and was also a production worker at LeCreuset in Yemassee. She was a member of Adnah United Methodist Church in Islandton, and was formerly active with the Order of the Eastern Star having been a Past Worthy Matron.
Surviving are: two sons, Charles Chuck Crosby and his wife Linda of Islandton and Ronnie L. Crosby and his wife Jennifer of Hampton; a daughter, Donna Crosby Curtis and her husband Jamie of Varnville; two sisters, Mary Phillips of Beaufort and Catherine Valentine of Islandton; and two brothers, Lamar Bishop of Nixville and Sonny Bishop of Islandton. There are four grandchildren, Zac Sauls, Hayden Sauls, Parker Crosby, and Sydney Crosby that also survive.
