Eleanor Wright

Mrs. Eleanor Linder Wright, 87, of Walterboro, entered into her state of eternal rest Saturday morning, August 14, 2010, at Heritage Health Care of Walterboro. She was the wife of fifty-one years to the late Mr. Alvin Floyd Wright who died in 1992.



Funeral services will be conducted 2 oclock Tuesday afternoon, August 17, 2010, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Entombment will follow in Glendale Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.



Mrs. Wright was born December 22, 1922, in Savannah, Georgia and was a daughter of the late Thomas and Dora Beach Linder. She was a retired inspector from J. P. Stevens in Walterboro and also worked for a short period of time as an aide at the Colleton Medical Center. She was a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Walterboro Chapter No. 147 where she served four terms as Worthy Matron along with various other offices within the Chapter. She will be fondly remembered for her love of gospel music and birds, the elegance she always possessed, and her dedication to her family and others.



Surviving are: two sons, Raymond Lee Wright and his wife Wanda of Mashawville and Jack Wayne Wright, Sr. and his wife Ollie of Walterboro. There are four grandchildren, Raymond Thomas Tommy Wright of Aiken, Pamela C. Wright of Mashawville, Jack Wayne Wright, Jr. and his wife Leah of Walterboro, and Kim Wright Hiott and her husband William of Walterboro; as well as four great grandchildren, Patrick, Olivia, Rachel, and Ally that also survive.
