Elaine Stevens

Mrs. Teresa Elaine Cook Stevens, 53, of Hampton, entered into eternal rest Saturday morning, December 7, 2024, at Hampton Regional Medical Center.

Born November 10, 1971, in Hampton County, she was a daughter of John Cook and the late Isabelle Sheppard Winstead.  She loved animals and especially loved feeding and watching her squirrels and hummingbirds.  More than anything, she was a loving wife, wonderful mother and grandmother, who dearly loved her family.

Surviving are: her father, John Cook of Fairfax; her husband of 31 years, Joseph Anthony Stevens, Sr. of Hampton; children, Salena Crosby of Hampton, Amber Firster and her husband Nehemiah Blue of Yemassee, and Joseph Anthony Stevens, Jr. of Hampton; her nieces that she loved and raised as her own, Desaray Dunaway, Kinsley Dunaway, and April Dunaway; grandchildren, Trey, Alonia, Caylee, and Noah; and her sisters, Ann Firster of Varnville, Tammy Cook of Varnville, and Annette Harvey of Hampton.

Funeral services will be held 1 o'clock, Thursday afternoon, December 12, 2024, at Open Arms Fellowship, 402 Hoover Street North, Hampton.  Interment will follow in Sandy Run Cemetery, Sandy Run Road, Hampton.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 12 noon until the hour of service in the church sanctuary.
