Elaine Hinz

Mrs. Elaine Maureen Hinz, 78, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday evening, August 5, 2023, at her residence.  She was the wife of the late Robert Michael “Mike” Hinz, to whom she was married 34 years.

Born September 18, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Hershall Evert Bledsoe and Elnorah Mary Bledsoe. She was a retired bookkeeper having worked for The Canady Agency and The Keith Agency.  She and her late husband owned Big Dog Distributors and for many years they traveled to nearby counties delivering products with Sunbeam Bread and later Archway Cookies and Snyder Pretzels. She loved the outdoors, working with her plants and watching the birds.

Surviving are: children, James John Solvik of Walterboro, Billy Hinz (Sherry) of Whiteville, North Carolina, and Eva Lorraine Franks (James) of Montana; brother, James Timothy Bledsoe of Middleberry, Indiana; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
