Eileen Finigan Mcnulty

Ms. Eileen Finigan McNulty, 61, entered into rest Friday morning, September 6, 2019, at her home in Walterboro.

Born March 14, 1958, while her father was stationed at the Marine Corps Base at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Master Gunnery Sergeant William Francis Finigan and the late Mrs. Frances Hood Finigan.  She was a graduate with the Class of 1976 from Walterboro High School and then received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.  She was a Sonographer, having worked for a number of years in Chattanooga, Tennessee, prior to working at Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro and eventually retiring from Hampton Regional Medical Center in Varnville.  Eileen’s last few years have been spent working with dementia patients in the Activities Department of the Veteran’s Victory House in Walterboro, this was a vocation she dearly loved and cherished every moment she spent with her patients.     She centered her life amongst those she loved the most, her family.  A member of Nova Church in Walterboro, she possessed a faith that could not be shaken, regardless of what trials she may have faced, she remained resolute in the knowledge that through Christ all things were possible.

Surviving are: her daughter, Jessica McNulty (Lance Wilson) of Walterboro; her two precious grandchildren, Jax Wilson and Knox Wilson; her sister, Patty Finigan Knight (Robert) of Simpsonville and their daughters, Kristen Knight Gault (Jeremy) and son, Jett all of Fountain Inn, and Andrea Knight Hines (Jeff) and daughter, Samantha all of Woodruff; and a brother, Tom Finigan (Lori Shearer) of Walterboro and his sons, Thomas Finigan, Jr. and William F. Finigan, III both of Walterboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to:  Colleton County Relay for Life, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, South Carolina 29406.

A memorial service will be conducted at 5 o’clock Thursday afternoon, September 12, 2019, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.   The family will receive friends prior to the funeral ceremony beginning at 3:30pm that afternoon.
