FUTCH, Eileen



Simpson, N.C. Mrs. Eileen Harrison Futch, 87, of 584 Simpson St., died Saturday, February 13, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Rhomie Leroy Futch Sr.



Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Ehrhardt Baptist Church with Reverend Kelley Shanks officiating. Interment will follow in the Ehrhardt Cemetery.



Born September 8, 1922 in Hampton South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late William Pinckney Harrison and Minnie Vivian Bowers. She resided in Ehrhardt, S.C. for 62 years where she had retired as a teachers' aide from Ehrhardt Elementary School. She was a long time member of the Ehrhardt Baptist Church. Eileen moved to Simpson in 2005. Eileen was shown much kindness and compassion by the staff of University Home Health and Hospice, for this we are grateful.



She is survived by: daughter, Darlene F. Rhodes and husband Milton of Ehrhardt, S.C., daughter, Faye F. Figlewski of Rocky Mount, N.C., son, Rhomie L. Futch Jr. and wife Janice of Manning S.C.; six grandchildren, John C. "Dickie" Kay, IV and wife Christie of the home, Elizabeth B. Belanger and husband Marco of Ontario, Canada, Rhomie L. Futch, III of Ehrhardt, S.C., Frank U. Bookhardt and wife Heather of Rocky Mount, N.C., Shane C. Futch of Manning, S.C. and Stash A. Figlewski and fianc Krissy Stokes of Nashville, N.C.; five great grandchildren, Cullen and Christopher Kay of the home, Emma and Sam Bookhardt of Rocky Mount, and Jackson Figlewski of Nashville; and her brother, Will Harrison of Livionia, Michigan.



In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Ehrhardt Baptist Church, Post Office Box 267, Ehrhardt, S.C. 29081.
