Edward Nettles

Mr. Edward Earl Nettles, 81, of Ruffin, entered into eternal rest Sunday evening, September 27, 2020 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.  He was the husband of the late Shirley Roberts Nettles.

Born September 17, 1939 in Colleton county, he was a son of the late Reverend Bill Nettles and Marie Billingsby Nettles.  He was a retired pipe fitter.  Mr. Nettles loved hunting and fishing and especially loved working in his garden.

Surviving are: his sons, Larry Nettles of Ruffin and David Nettles of Walterboro; grandchildren, Lauren Pappas and Joey Nettles; great grandchildren, Derrick Pappas, Connelly Nettles, and Grant Nettles; sister, Faye Nettles of Walterboro; and a brother, Billy Joe Nettles of Hampton.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Nettles.

Funeral services will be held 5 o’clock, Friday, October 2, 2020 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  The family will receive friends following the service.
