Edna Strickland
October 4, 1927 — October 13, 2015
Mrs. Edna Miller Rowell Strickland, 88, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Pruitt Health in Walterboro. She was first married to the late Porter Rowell and secondly to the late Woodrow Strickland.
Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Thursday morning, October 15, 2015 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, Jefferies Boulevard, Walterboro.
Mrs. Strickland was born October 4, 1927 in Jasper County and was a daughter of the late Riley Vincent Miller and Lillie Mae Howard Miller. She was a retired seamstress and was a member of Evergreen Christian Church.
Surviving are: her grandchildren, Donna Mixon and her husband Kevin, and Maria Patterson, all of Ruffin; great grandchildren, Amber Frasier and her husband Rocky of Aiken, and Sarah Hayden and her husband Brandon, Amanda Mixon, Charity Patterson and Chastity Patterson, all of Ruffin; great great grandchildren, Riley Fraiser, Owen Hayden, and RJ Frasier; step children, English Strickland, and Mary Ellen Bryan and her husband Mitchell, all of Walterboro; nephews, William Way and his wife Penny of Hendersonville, NC, Gerald Way and his wife Debbie of Burton, and Harold Way of Beaufort. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Hart; granddaughter, Lois Ann Crosby; brother, James Miller; sister, Marion Way; and step children, Perry Strickland and Bobby Strickland.
