Edith Fay Lesley

Mrs. Edith Fay Lesley, 83, of Walterboro, entered into rest Thursday morning, July 23, 2020, at Magnolias in Walterboro. She was the wife of the late Clinton Lesley.

Born April 5, 1937, in Delta County, Texas, she was a daughter of the late Homer Boren and the late Mary Ellen Edwards Boren.  She was a lifelong resident of Texas until making Walterboro her home in 2018 to be with her family.  In Texas, she retired as a bakery manager.  Her life was her family and work.  She cared about people and was always concerned with making others feel loved and welcomed around her.  She stayed on the go and enjoyed Westerns.  She attended with her family at Saint Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Walterboro.

Surviving are: three children, Jackie Jones, Susan Hofheins, and Katherine Heckler; a sister, Glenda Stringfellow; four grandchildren, Brandi Sanders, Jeremy Jones, Nina Lerma, and Brittany Lybarger; as well as ten great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will held in Abilene, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to MUSC Children’s Hospital, 59 Bee Street, Charleston, SC 29425.
