Mr. Dwayne Douglas Davis, known by all as “Scooter”, age 50, of Walterboro, entered into rest Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston.
Born October 22, 1970, in Walterboro, he was a son of the late Douglas Elwood Davis and the late Carolyn Pinnix Davis. Scooter started and operated 3D Trucking, was a longtime farmer for Bobby Glover, and done land clearing for Godley Clearing and Grading of Walterboro. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. He was very much a jokester, it meant everything to Scooter to see others smile. He was always there for others, willing to lend a hand. He will always be remembered for the great love he possessed for his family and friends. He was a member of Great Swamp Baptist Church.
Surviving are: his children, Adriana Davis, Bryson Davis, Dalton Davis, and William Campana; his longtime companion, Erica Hoff; two sisters, Tina Barnes and Katie Godley (Stacey); a sister-in-law, Rhonda Heape Davis; five nephews, Rocky Barnes, Jr., Talon Barnes, Stacey Godley, Jr., Austin Godley, and Wesley Davis; and two nieces, Tiffany Barnes and Mikayla Barnes. He was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Davis; and two brothers-in-law, Rocky Barnes and Tracy Ricketson.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon, August 15, 2021, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in the Great Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.
