Dorsey Johnson

Mr. Dorsey Johnson, 93, of Ehrhardt, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia. He was the widower of the late Janie Hobbs Johnson



Funeral services will be held 3 oclock Thursday, April 22, 2010, at St. Johns Baptist Church, Ehrhardt, with Reverend Robert Craven officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.



Mr. Johnson was born September 29, 1916 in Sparta, Georgia and was a son of the late Sam Terrell Johnson and Mary Donise Norris Johnson. He was a retired logger ad was a member of St. Johns Baptist Church where he was a Deacon Emeritus. Mr. Dorsey was an avid outdoorsman, who loved quail hunting, fishing, riding horses, working in his garden and cooking for his family and friends. He loved his family deeply and his memory will be cherished by all that knew him.



Surviving are: his daughter, Patsie Chassereau and her husband Daniel of Ehrhardt; grandchildren, Steven Chassereau of Ehrhardt and Vicki Chassereau of Ehrhardt; great grandchildren, Mikayla and Brittany Folk of Ehrhardt; brother, Lester Johnson of Sparta, Georgia; and a sister, Janie Swint of Sandersville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 1 sister.
