Dorothy Vensko

Biography
Mrs. Dorothy Gersna Vensko, 75, of 236 Salkehatchie Road, Yemassee, entered into her eternal rest Wednesday afternoon, March 28, 2012, at her residence under the care of Agape Hospice. She was the wife of the late Mr. Steven Andrew Vensko, to whom she was faithfully married to for fifty years at the time of his death in 2010.
Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Monday, April 2, 2012, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro, with The Reverend Fr. Jeffrey Kendall officiating. The Finial Commendation and Farewell will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Hendersonville Highway, Walterboro.
Mrs. Vensko was born March 5, 1937, in Centerville, Pennsylvania and was a daughter of the late Steven and Anna Chorba Gersna. She was a devout Catholic attending Mass faithfully where she was a member at Saint Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Walterboro. She will be fondly recalled for her love she possessed for her late husband and family.
Surviving are: a son, Steven P. Vensko of Yemassee; four daughters, Darlene Kullberg of Canyon Lake, Texas, Connie S. Beamish of Elizabethtown, Tennessee, Michele V. Fairbanks of Yemassee, and Sharon L. Vensko of Yemassee; two brothers, Steve Gersna of Hobart, Indiana and Joe Gersna of Westville, Indiana; and a sister, Margaret Valencik of Brook Park, Ohio. There are nine grandchildren that also survive. She was preceded in death by a son, Gregory A. Vensko who died in 1990; and a sister, Mary Zemba.
