SCHROEDER, Dorothy



WALTERBORO Mrs. Dorothy Alzona Bunton Woodbery Schroeder, 81, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Friday evening, September 24, 2010, at Roper Hospital in Charleston. She was married first to the late Mr. Eugene T. Woodbery, and was the widow of Mr. Thaddeus Owens Schroeder.



Funeral services will be conducted at 11 oclock Monday morning, September 27, 2010, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro with The Reverend Bob Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, Jefferies Highway, Walterboro.



Mrs. Schroeder was born November 3, 1928, in Wiggins, SC and was a daughter of the late Cecil D. Bunton and the late Bessie Ruth Beach Bunton. She was a member of Doctors Creek Baptist Church in Walterboro.



Surviving are: four daughters, Jeynean W. Tant (Leonard) of Walterboro, Sandra W. McCall (Rick Parker) of Walterboro, Ann W. Crosby (Randy) of Wadmalaw Island, and Mishele S. Smoak (John) of Fort Mill; two sons, Eugene T. Woodbery, Jr. (Sally) of St. Matthews and Lee Allen Woodbery (Martha) of Kelseyville, California; a brother, Randolph Bunton of Wiggins; and three sisters, Lillian Estelle of Hanahan, Doris Sprang of Laurens, and Faye Bryant of Charleston. There are eleven grandchildren: Tonya Eovacious and Heath Porter of Tallahassee, Florida, Lisa (Gary) Bratton of Sumter, Lindsay Crosby of Piedmont, Jason and Rachel Crosby of Wadmalaw Island; Reeves, Tadd, Fuller, Matt and Will Smoak of Fort Mill; two great grandchildren, Jenna Porter of Tallahassee, Florida and Andrew Bratton of Sumter; one great great grandchild, Scarlett Porter of Tallahassee, Florida as well as several special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Leslie, Ralph, George, Jimmy and Ray Bunton and by a sister, Jean B. Butler.
