Dorothy Mcgrew

Dorothy Elizabeth Spell McGrew, 80, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Friday evening, May 16, 2025, at the Colleton Medical Center.  She was the wife of the late James “Mac” McGrew.

Born December 14, 1944, in Colleton County, she was the daughter of the late Harold Spell and Dorothy Calvert.  She was a member of the Green Pond Methodist Church.  She was a housewife and enjoyed sewing, making flower arrangements, and hair bows.

Surviving is her sister Vonna Bennett (Raymond) of Varnville, her landlord and special friend Mrs. Penny Thomas of Walterboro, and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Pruitt Hospice of Beaufort and Agape Hospice of Colleton.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
