Mrs. Dorothy Jean Cook Bell, 69, of Walterboro, formerly of Summerville, passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 at her residence. She was the widow of James A. Bell.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11 am, Monday, December 16, 2013 at Doctors Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born February 18, 1944 in Walterboro, she was a daughter of the late Herman Ray Cook and Merle Walsh Cook. She loved shopping, playing cards, reading, and completing puzzle books. Most of all, she will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always centered her life around her family.
Surviving are: her son, Tony Bell of Walterboro; brother, William Cook of North Charleston; sister, Carole Judy of Summerville; grandchildren, Brett Bell, Matthew Perry, Crystal Bell, Jamie Bell and Bubba Bell; and great grandchildren, Kayleigh Perry, Gabriel Bell, Tryston Bell, Kien Bell, Jaylyn Bowers, and C.J. Padgett. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Catherine Bell.
