Doris Ritchie

Mrs. Doris Richardson Mears Ritchie, 93, of Ehrhardt, entered into eternal rest Monday, January 24, 2011. She was first married to the late Willard E. Mears and secondly to the late Hubert Edmund Ritchie, Jr.



Funeral services will be held 3 pm, Friday, January 28, 2011, at Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church in Ehrhardt. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday afternoon from 2 until the hour of service at the church.



Mrs. Ritchie was born September 11, 1917 in Ehrhardt and was a daughter of the late James Calvin Richardson and Florrie Mae Bishop Richardson. She was a former employee of Westinghouse and was a member of Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Mission Group. She was also a member of the Ehrhardt Lions Club, the Dixie Garden Club, the Golden Age Club and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.



Surviving are: her daughters, Doris Bowers of Fayetteville, NC, Rosalyn Stancell and her husband Gordon of Colonial Heights, VA, Patricia Grage and her husband Dave of Canal Fulton, OH; brother, Arthur L. Hiers of Orlando, FL; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, William J. Bowers.
