Mrs. Dorothy Dorene Bell, 75, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Thursday, September 22, 2016 at The Hospice Center of Charleston in Mount Pleasant.
Funeral services will be held 4 pm, Friday, September 23, 2016 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
Born May 15, 1941 in Colleton County, she was a daughter of the late Herbert E. Linder and Florrie Whittle Linder. She was a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. She loved her dogs, and planting and tending to her roses. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are: her husband, Phillip L. Bell of Walterboro; children, Sara Elizabeth “Beth” Wright of Walterboro, Joyce Ann Gadson of Gaston, David “Bubba” Phillip Bell of Walterboro, and Linda Marie O’Quinn; 11 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials may be made to the funeral fund, Post Office Drawer 50, Walterboro, SC 29488.
